Respect

In the moment with my daughter, who was happy to be my model, playing with shadow ideas.

Since the kinesiologist brought up things about respect, I haven’t been able to get it out of my mind. So I looked up the meaning in the dictionary…

noun 1 a feeling of admiration for someone because of their qualities or achievements. 2 due regard for the feelings or rights of others. 3 (respects) polite greetings. 4 a particular aspect, point, or detail.

• verb 1 feel or have respect for. 2 avoid harming or interfering with. 3 agree to recognize and abide by.

But what about self respect?  What if you don’t admire your achievements, or see that they are achievements to start with.  Avoid harming, regard feelings or rights of others, well I think I have these qualities.

I like to have my mind challenged, to come from things from a different angle, someone else’s point of view, so today I am grateful for this.  Here’s to seeing outside the box!
